Entrepreneurial Spirit Award
The Entrepreneurial Spirit Award honors a Charleston CRE member who has achieved a unique career success or milestone in the past 24 months as the result of an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit. This person is often a risk taker and is willing to step outside the box to create something new or different. They provide services, develop products, or improve practices by innovatively organizing, developing, or deploying available resources, either within their own company or a larger organization.
Note: Recommended that the nominee be a female, and a current member of CREW Charleston.
- Examples of such successes include:
• A person who has started a new business enterprise or significantly expanded the business reach of their current employer.
• A person who has made a significant and successful career change into an emerging field or a new area of expertise or focus in the real estate industry, perhaps due to a need to significantly change their career path due to the downturn in the economy.
• A person who has made contributions that foster commercial vitality within the industry or has capitalized on new or changing opportunities in innovative ways.
• A person created new tools and technologies, new products, financing tools, or business practices, or developed creative business strategies or structures.
