David has spent a career proving Kermit wrong: it’s easy being Green with the right approach and knowledge and over 35 years he has produced award-winning, client-pleasing, budget-meeting, creative and Green architectural solutions in a variety of project types; from residential and multi-family to commercial, educational, hospitality, municipal, federal, liturgical, and industrial. At Wakefield Beasley, David is responsible for developing client relationships in addition to developing architectural projects from preliminary “what if” sketches, to and through final construction completion.

Christina Lock, CEO and Founder at Catch Talent
Christina is an entrepreneur, leader, human resources executive, and public speaker with a proven track record of scaling and growing start-ups. As CEO of Catch Talent, Christina leads the delivery of recruiting and employer branding services to growing technology, manufacturing, and government contracting companies. Prior to launching Catch, she was a founding member and Vice President of HR and Recruiting at SPARC, where her team hired over 300 Team Members in less than five years. Christina has also held leadership, recruiting, and business development positions at ARAMARK and Aerotek. Christina serves on the advisory boards of Charleston Women in Tech and The Iron Yard, is a member of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance’s steering committee, and has spoken at SHRM, DIG South, Pecha Kucha, and the College of Charleston. She mentors entrepreneurs and professionals through the Harbor Entrepreneur Center and Charleston Young Professionals.
Angela Dyer, BB&T, Vice President
Angela Dyer is a Vice President Commercial Banker with BB&T Bank with 11 years of experience in the banking industry. Through focus, hard work and strategic planning she has become one of the first Commercial Bankers in Charleston to work for BB&T. Angela has been labeled as a positive and tenacious “trail blazing” leader for other women within her company and industry. Her passion is to always help other people to continue to move forward whether that is with growing their company, career or as an individual.
Janet Bates, CF Evans Construction, Director of Marketing
Janet joined CF Evans Construction over 6 years ago and oversees the development and protection of the company’s brand. She is responsible for staying active in the market and understanding the ever-changing trends and active growth of the areas in which her firm builds. Janet holds her MBA in General Management and Sustainable Enterprise from the University of North Carolina Kenan Flagler Business School and her BA in Theatre and Dramatic Literature from The George Washington University. A graduate of the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth, Janet previously worked at Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corporation, and at Fathom, an agency known for its award winning brand development and creative material. She is the Communications Chair for CREW Charleston and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Charleston Area Justice Ministry. In 2017, Janet founded a non-partisan political organization in Summerville, dedicated to demystifying congressional advocacy, and works with a variety of local groups to enhance their communication and achieve their community goals.
Hilary Johnson, Hatch Tribe, Founder
Hilary Johnson is the founder of Hatch Tribe, an organization devoted to cultivating and connecting women entrepreneurs. A serial entrepreneur herself, Hilary coaches and mentors entrepreneurs in all stages of business. Her passion is helping clients translate their great ideas to actionable plans and results. Hilary became a first-time author in November 2016 with the publication of “A Girls Guide to Surviving the Startup with Your Mind, Body, and Soul Intact”, an encouraging read that imparts road-tested wisdom for tackling the inner and outer work of being a boss.
Amanda Reeves, Lee & Associates, Broker
Amanda joined Lee & Associates Charleston in 2012 after relocating from Savannah, GA. She has been in commercial real estate since 2006 and focuses on retail and office brokerage. On the landlord and owner side, she has worked with a range of properties from large power centers to unique downtown spaces. She also represents tenants and/or buyers in finding their ideal office location to start or expand their businesses. Locally, Amanda works with retailers such as Moe’s, Kairo’s, Papa John’s Pizza, Urban Cookhouse, Edward Jones, Orange Theory Fitness and Firehouse Subs in market expansion and site selection.
Amanda is a graduate of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. She has earned both her LEED AP® accreditation and her CCIM designation. Before beginning her real estate career, Amanda was a Senior Associate at KPMG in Atlanta in their Risk Advisory Services group. She is currently President Elect of CREW Charleston.

Speaker: Ben Liebetrau, Greystar
Topic: Overture Project at Coburg
Mr. Liebetrau serves as Senior Director of Development and is responsible for the North and South Carolina development business, including the sourcing, capitalization, permitting, construction and execution of development projects across the Carolinas. Since joining Greystar in 2011, Mr. Liebetrau has been involved in site selection, underwriting, capitalization, pre-development and execution of over 3,700 units throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina including garden, mid-rise and high-rise projects. Prior to his current role, Mr. Liebetrau coordinated multifamily acquisitions with Chartwell Holdings in various states of the Southeast. He began his career working in the project management, entitlement, and planning arena for various major asset types in North and South Carolina. Mr. Liebetrau has experience in all phases of the development cycle. He received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Clemson University and a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from Clemson University, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

The Center for Women serves to help educate and advocate so that women in South Carolina have economic success and are leaders in their professional, community and personal lives. At the Center for Women, Ali works to raise awareness and cultivate civic engagement around the four core tenets of the Center for Women's Status of Women in SC Report: Leadership, Health and Safety, Education, and Economic Security.
In addition to her work in the nonprofit sector, Ali serves on City of Charleston's Commission for Women and is a Board Member of Charleston Freedom Schools. In January of 2017, Ali was one of a team of nine women who organized and executed the Women's March in Charleston.

A member of the senior development team for Daniel Island since 1999, Ms. Lancaster is responsible for branding and marketing Daniel Island, Carnes Crossroads and Cainhoy. Previously she served as Director of Marketing for the developer of Kiawah Island, where she built an in-house agency and helped the resort community achieve worldwide acclaim. She has more than 30 years’ experience in resort, real estate and master planned community marketing.

Zachary Bearden, Partner at Origin Development Partners
Zach Bearden has an extensive background in real estate entitlement, design, development and construction. He began his career with Seamon Whiteside+Associates, a Planning and Civil Engineering Firm, with offices in Charleston and Greenville, SC. During his time at SW+A, Mr. Bearden served as the Director of Client Services and focused his efforts on zoning entitlements, due-diligence and site development for commercial and residential developments.
After leaving SW+A, Mr. Bearden joined Mashburn Construction Company and served as Director of Business Development. His responsibilities included: contract negotiations, feasibility studies for new construction, design team management, and as a liaison between the Owner and Contractor during the construction process. During his time at Mashburn, Mr. Bearden sourced 52MM of new construction. Notable projects: Hilton Garden Inn Mt. Pleasant, Grand Bohemian Charleston, ATS Logistics, Harris Teeter on Isle of Palms, and Charleston Distilling Company.
Mr. Bearden’s project management and business development efforts in land design and commercial construction has led him to build relationships with key partners such as land owners, elected offices, municipal staff, Architects, Engineers, real estate brokers, bankers, and property owners throughout the Southeast.
Mr. Bearden graduated from the University of Georgia Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, licensed Landscape Architect in the state of South Carolina, and SC Realtor.
Mr. Bearden currently serves as a board member and the founding Commercial Loan Chair of the South Carolina Community Development Fund. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute Coastal Executive Committee for ULI South Carolina. In 2009, Mr. Bearden was chosen as one of the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s 40 under 40.
Mr. Bearden will give a general overview of the entitlement process and then present a case study of The Six, a 92 unit mixed-use workforce housing project in Mount Pleasant.
CREW Charleston Presents Elizabeth Bradham, speaking about her professional career in New York as well as her philanthropic accomplishments.
Mrs. Bradham, a native of Charleston, started her career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers Inc in 1985, and then moved to the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at S.G. Warburg Inc. From 1995 to 2005, Mrs. Bradham was a partner at Rothschild Inc. She currently serves on the board of Van Wagner Communications in New York.
Mrs. Bradham's nonprofit experience is focused primarily on early childhood education and animal welfare.
